Giving a textile workspace to the Tri-Cities community since 2007

Our Story

In January of 2007, a small group came together to establish a place to call home for quilting and fiber arts.  The Museum is an inviting fun space for sharing all things quilting.

In 2020, the Tri-Cities’ Quilt Guild added their library to the Museum’s library.  There are over 1,000 books available for members.  The Museum has a gallery space, a meeting space, archive space, and a Gift Shop. There are multiple small groups that meet on a regular basis.  Join us in your quilting and fiber arts creations.

The WBQM received Federal non-profit status on March 28, 2007.

The White Bluffs Quilt Museum is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit Organization. Contributions to White Bluffs are deductible under section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. White Bluffs is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code. White Bluffs is further classified as a public charity.

Our Vision

The Museum is a happy, busy hub of activity devoted to quilting and other fiber arts. Its collection of textile artifacts and its library, together with its coalition of artists and craftpersons, offer educational opportunities to residents of Richland, Kennewick and Pasco, Washington.

Our Mission

The Museum operates a facility that promotes and celebrates quilting and the fiber arts. We sponsor activities that encourage textile preservation (classes, exhibits), and that provide information about traditions and techniques (workshops, lectures), and raise funds to support a nurturing space that welcomes people of all ages, abilities, and interests.
